1. We're back from European "tour", we visited Barcelona (yay OFFF 2011, presentation went ok), Sidges, Tarragona, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Tilburg (yay KoRn concert), Brugge (just YAY), Brussels (yay Rockwerchter)
2. My works are on official OFFF 2011 DVD and Year Zero Book.
3. Canal+ France wanted to skype-interview me about my "Reality Check" motion piece, but we got virus on netbook very same day and failed to get in touch with the editor. Shame... This could be my first tv experience.
4. We're moving to Shanghai approximately 4th of August. Oh I miss Shanghai so much, I realized it only after we left it.

Where should I start? I know 2D but which applications? Maybe I should learn something from my own before getting formal teaching..

You should consider 2 types of 2d animations: frame-by-frame animation (also called CEL if I'm not mistaken) and PRS animation (Position Rotation Scale). For me it is easier to do CEL in Adobe Flash and PRS animation in After Effects.

Let's take South Park for example. Most part you can easily animate just by moving elements of characters around (animating Position, Rotation and Scale of objects) but facial features like mouth or blinking eyes is easier to do frame by frame. So the most effective way of animating things is combination of both.
